The house seems so empty with all my big boys gone....Hubby and L. are in North Carolina, A. is stationed out in Cali so it's just me, N. and the dogs, one of which is snoring loudly while the other farts away. The tropical storm this morning did absolutely nothing, I was kind of looking forward to some excitement, but Bonnie was a let down.

Eighteen years have accumulated into hearing your son's name called out and a 30 second walk across the stage to receive his diploma.....30 seconds of joy is all I get? somehow my little moment of glory seems to have gotten the short end of the stick....

So the other day I'm walking down the hall at work and I hear "swish swish" so I turn around thinking my boss or co-worker is behind me, but no, I am alone. Then it HITS me...that is the sound of my fat ass thighs rubbing together!!!!!!!!!!!!Holy shit...when did that happen?????now, they aren't HUGE , but I've NEVER made that sound before!!! Is it the years piling on (as well as all the crap I've been eating)?? I seriously have to start exercising or something,this is just depressing. You know you are in trouble when body starts talking back..first the thighs, then whats next? If only my breasts would get as big.......

Baby Maya is getting huge! She is turns 8 weeks old tomorrow, 3/13, and weighs 12.5 lbs!! She is VERY spunky and loves to play, and when she is tired, comes to the couch and rests her head on the cushion while looking up at me with those gorgeous green eyes of hers and....well who am I kidding? I lift her up and she falls asleep curled up next to me..Yes she is spoiled and yes she will get much bigger and I'm sure she'll take up most of the couch, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it! For right now, the main thing is housebreaking her and she has her good and bad days...Just for shits & giggles, spill some apple juice on the floor and walk barefoot through it....AAAHHHH the sweet life of puppyhood!!! oh, & don't forget to put small plastic things into the garbage disposal for a few seconds, take them out, and spread them on the living room floor and watch your kids get pissy because their lego pieces now have teeth marks on them.....Good times!

Wow, we are finally getting fancy in Homestead..Not only did they open up an Atlanta Bread Company, but now they also have a Cigar/Wine Bar next door (just where exactly do they think they are?) but now, they are getting ready to open the 2nd Starbucks in Homestead( 1st one is in Florida City, like 2 miles away)...What,oh what will we do with ALL those caffeine options?? As if one overpriced coffee joint isn't bad enough, now we spend our hard earned money on 2 of them.... I also heard rumors of a Best Buy coming around...but what I really really want is a damn book store!!! Then I wouldn't have to fight the awful traffic & go into Miami...I'm wishing I had wings at this point.....

She's here!! My baby GIRL is finally here!! (we picked her up last night) Her name is Maya and she's 5 weeks old and absolutely gorgeous!! Mojo likes her as well, he keeps following her around and licking the top of her head....too cute!! I know I've got some work coming my way (with the crate training/housebreaking), but she slept from 11 pm to 5 am, so maybe she will learn quickly...I can always hope can't I? as Im sure I'll be the one doing most of the cleaning up after her....

I haven't been here in a while but it's good to be back. Everything seems a little hectic lately, but I've managed to find a few minutes of ME time....There will be a new addition to our family (not from me, unfortunately) but just the same, it will be a GIRL!!!! Finally, no more being surrounded only by penises(?) or if it's prural is it peni? Anyway, I will picking up a beautiful baby puppy at the pound tomorrow and will post a picture of her as soon as I can. We have all been anxiously awaiting her arrival and I barely slept last night. She is a silver/brown Mastiff mix(as per the tag at the pound), but she looks more Weimeraner (?) to me, even though her paws are huge!! Are we crazy? Yes, but you only live once, Mojo needs a companion as he is alone most of the day, and I want a girl, and this is the only way I will get her! The big question now is her name. No one can agree on anything so we will have to draw a name out of a hat. Here are the names every one has picked for the drawing:
